Simple Stretches To Do In Bed
Through the years, I’ve stumbled on some pretty amazing things that make my body happy. But one of the easiest has been to take a few minutes in the morning and evening and to stretch my body while in bed.
This can be done laying down or sitting up – or both – first thing in the morning and the last thing before turning out the lights.
Creating A Movement Plan
There’s a ton of research that’s been done about the benefits of getting in some movement each day. Some of those benefits include getting your lymph flowing, your blood circulating, and your joints lubricated. It’s also great for your cardiovascular system and mental health.
If you already have a consistent daily movement practice, go you! If you don’t, now is a great time to begin one. I know that just thinking about doing daily movement might be overwhelming if you’re not used to doing it, or you might be feeling like you’ll get bored by doing the same thing every day. With so many options out there – and most of them free – there’s really no reason not to get your groove on in some way, shape, or form.
Word Of The Year, 2023 Edition
For the last several years I’ve chosen a Word Of The Year. What started as a suggestion from a good friend has turned into a yearly ritual that I look forward to.
In case you haven’t heard of this practice before, it’s pretty self-explanatory: You’ll pick one word to keep in the forefront of your mind for the whole year.
Ways We Can Give To Ourselves
During busy seasons (whether that’s our personal season in life or the season in the more traditional, broad sense), it can be easy to put ourselves towards the bottom of the to-do list – if not at the very bottom. But what if we make a conscious, active decision to change that up this year? What if – and hear me out on this – we take some time to give to ourselves this season?
For someone who’s pretty body aware and who teaches body/breath awareness, I’m surprised at how much I hold my breath. Or, if I’m not holding it in, I’m taking little dinky baby breaths a lot of the time.
Being Comfy In Your Own Skin
I was brought up in the age of “Do these jeans make my butt look big?”. With subliminal messaging and subconscious internal dialog, it can be challenging, especially for women, to feel comfortable in their own skin.

Winter Warming Tea
I’m such a fan of easy, yummy foods and drinks, and it doesn’t get much easier (or yummier) than this seasonal spiced tea.
In addition to being warming, this tea has zero caffeine, meaning you’ll get energized naturally without worrying about the caffeine crash. It’s also great for your digestion and will make your house smell delish while it’s on the stove.

Healthy — And YUMMY — Rice Pudding
When I was a kid, I loved it when my mom brought home pre-made rice pudding from the store. As an adult, I soon discovered how many toxic ingredients are generally found in pre-packaged deli foods like this. So when I discovered a healthy version of this yummy dessert, I was super excited to give it a try. It didn’t disappoint.
Digestion Hack For The Win!
I love finding little hacks that will make a huge impact on my health.
CCF Tea For Digestive Health
Ever get bloated and gassy after a meal? Those sensations are uncomfortable and a total bummer. What if I told you that you could drink a tea after eating to help not only your bloated belly but also boost your metabolism? It’s true. With the help of CCF tea, your digestive health just got a whole lot better.
Mouth-Watering Latte Variations
I am a latte QUEEN in the morning, whether it’s matcha (my FAV), coffee, mocha, whatever! Give me a hot beverage, some extra powdery nutrients (mushroom/superfood powders), and some coconut milk — and arguably too much coconut sugar — and I’m swooning.
