When it’s hot outside, reaching for a refreshing drink can really help cool us down.  Instead of grabbing an icy soda, try this yummy drink instead.

Ingredients:

3c filtered water

¼c lime juice (squeeze the juice from 2-3 limes instead of buying prepackaged junk)

1 tbsp coconut sugar (dissolved it in 1 tbsp hot water first, then add to the rest of the water)

¼ tsp cardamom powder (you can buy this already in powder form or grind your own cardamom pods, including seeds and husks, after lightly toasting)

Serves 2

Mix all of the ingredients together in a small pitcher, then serve in two glasses with 2 ice cubes *max* to cool it down.  The key is to avoid adding too much ice.  This yummy drink cools your body down while keeping your digestion happy.
