Hatha yoga is the classical practice of yoga postures. It is an empowering practice that increases muscle tone, improves flexibility and concentration. Pranayama (breathing exercises) techniques will be introduced and practiced as well.

Modifications are always given for more challenging postures, but slow down and rest any time you need to.

The poses you will learn are the same as many of the postures in many other yoga classes like Vinyasa and Ashtanga classes. We’ll flow from pose to pose, but at a slower pace, allowing you to focus a little bit more on form and alignment. Each class will be different and is balanced to work the body, and puts a big focus on the breath.

The level of the class will depend on your body, your needs, and your abilities. You can always make classes easier or more challenging for yourself by following cues for variations and modifications of the poses.
