When I first started working with CBD, I used it to help with my pain.  Because I have Fibromyalgia, my pain levels vary from day to day, but there’s rarely a day that I don’t have pain to some degree or another.  Rather than taking a ton of ibuprofen or Tylenol, I now reach for CBD first.  Sometimes it’s a topical like a salve or lotion, and other times I go for the edibles like mints, gummies, or tinctures.  

By now it’s common knowledge that CBD is good for pain.  But did you also know it helps with a myriad of other issues?  Yep, it sure does!

Once I had a variety of CBD products at my disposal, I began to try them out for other uses.  

For example, in the summer of 2020, I was in Arizona, helping out a family member who’d had surgery.  During that time, two of my kids and my granddaughter were directly exposed to covid.  Remember, this was early in the pandemic, prior to vaccines, etc.  To say that I was stressed would be an understatement.  At that point, I used CBD mints to help smooth my rough edges – and, lemme tell ya, they needed smoothing.  Not only did the CBD help with my anxiety levels, it also took away the physical pain that the emotional stress was causing in my body.

I also use it to help me sleep.  Once again, between physical pain and a racing mind, this plant helps me find my zzzz’s a whole lot easier.  I usually opt for the tincture before bed, but there are also sleepytime gummies that can help you snooze.

CBD also helps with migraines, PMS symptoms, epilepsy – the list goes on and on.  

One huge thing to keep in mind is that you can’t OD on CBD.  I can’t emphasize that enough.  In saying that, I’m not advocating you chug a whole bottle of tincture or eat a whole bottle of gummies in one sitting.  Don’t do that.  But I wanted to mention it again because there are a lot of misconceptions around cannabis, and it’s important to know the facts.
